Halkidiki Early Harvest Olive Oil to be used in Alzheimer’s clinical tests (26/05/2017)

Scientists suspected for some years now that substances in olive oil,  especially phenols help fight the development of neurological disorders that lead to diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

Recent findings however with the help offered by the development of the NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) technique that shows accurately the phenolic content in olive oil, opened a new path. Lab tests using high phenolic olive oil on rodents showed that not only the development of the Alzheimer’s disease stopped but the brain condition gradually returned to its original healthy state!

The enthusiasm amongst the scientific community was such that they wanted to try to confirm if possible the lab findings in clinical test on humans. After sorting all issues involved with this project, researchers are ready and in the next few months clinical tests using Halkidiki High Phenolic Olive Oil, like ELEONES Early Harvest, will begin on humans that will last for two years.
